Sydney - N.S.W. Those attending: Bruce, Lisa, Ross, Rhonda, Peter, Sue, Bob, Joan, Ron, Kathy, Martin & Margaret. (The Dirty Dozen) With the arrival of Billy to our shores again, we decided to make a full weekend in the city, working around the Patrons show on the Saturday night. Arriving Friday evening at our 65 th floor apartment over looking the coast from Manly to Cronulla, was simply spectacular. With us all together by about 8.00pm we decided to head down to Chinatown for a meal. Bartering our way into one of the many restaurants offering banquets. It was the back to the apartments so we could get into our club uniforms and have a few drinks enjoying the sparkling view. Next morning we ventured to Paddys Market before heading to The Rocks and checking the market there. This was also our luncheon venue with a superb pub grub meal. After that we went to the Quay and organised a water taxi around to Darling Harbour , and walking back to our apartments for an afternoon nap or swim in the pool. (Swimmers YUK!). Before to long it was time to get ready and head off to the venue. We had been pre warned from Jeff & Cheryl who saw the Patron a week or so ago in Melbourne what to expect. Aching ribs. tears in the eyes and a sore stomach from laughing so much, was what we had to look forward to. Lisa and I had seen Billy on a previous tour and it was true then as it was now. You laugh for the whole two and a half hours he is on stage. After the show it was the moment the ‘Dirty Dozen' had been waiting for, meeting the Patron backstage. He was very gracious when we presented him with a Bare Tracks shirt, plus he also signed one for us. When we told him about our group, he thought it was great and how he enjoys getting his ‘kit off' whenever he gets the chance. We also presented him with a Dare to be Bare wristband and he asked “do I put it on my willy”. One of the ladies in our group was like a groupie asking him to come back to the apartments and party with us. He thought that was great, we continued chatting for several more minutes before we shook hands, and we let him depart to his waiting limo. We left for our accommodation with a memory we will all be talking about for a long time to come. Next morning after checking out we thought we would head over to Manly by ferry, and have lunch. It was quite pleasant travelling up the harbour, with all the other folk out and about on a Sunday. We stopped at Manly wharf and had a coffee and said goodbye to Ron, Kathy, Bob & Joan who had to head back. The rest of us strolled up The Corso to Manly surf beach and watched the weirdos there (all wearing swimmers YUK!). It was back to a hotel for lunch before we caught the ferry back to the Quay and back to our vehicles. It was a great weekend in the city and it was all agreed that we should do it again, even though it will be a few years until we see the Patron again.
